JAMES LINDSAY was a pre-war soldier. He enlisted with the 2nd Bn Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders as Pte 1089, on 22nd November, 1912, at Glasgow. He was posted to the Base Battalion on 4th
December, 1912, and on 27th March, 1913, he was posted to the 2nd Bn.
On 6th January, 1914, JAMES LINDSAY, age 21, a Private in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, married Mary Morrow, age 22 of 191 Fordneuk Street, Glasgow, at 8 East John Street,
Glasgow.
Their daughter Agnes Reid Lindsay was born on 18th December, 1913, at 191 Fordneuk Street, Glasgow.
As a trained soldier at the outbreak of war, JAMES was one of the first to go, and went to France on 10th August, 1914.
JAMES LINDSAY was Killed-In-Action on 6th December, 1914, age 22.
